Nataliya Preston

Nataliya Preston has over 11 years of professional experience. Nataliya began their career in 2008 as an Engineer at Geokosmos, where they were responsible for aerial laser scanning data processing and quality control and topographic terrain creation. In 2009, they joined Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) as a Junior Researcher, participating in research projects at the Department of Physics and presenting at conferences. In 2012, they worked as a Specialist at Mobile Mapping Technologies. From 2013 to 2019, they worked at GeoCV, first as an Analyst, then as COO. Most recently, they have been the General Director of the R&D office & Administrative Manager at Occipital since 2019.

Nataliya Preston has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK), which they obtained between 2009 and 2012 in the field of Textural and spectral analysis of the thermal radiation fields based on the aerospace observations. Nataliya also obtained an Engineer's degree from Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) between 2004 and 2009 in Aerospace survey and photogrammetry. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera in April 2015, Introduction à la programmation orientée objet (en Java) from Coursera in December 2014, and Initiation à la programmation (en Java) from Coursera in October 2014.
