Ryan Fayrweather

Ryan Fayrweather has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ryan started their career in 1994 as an Army Officer and served in various leadership and staff positions, participating in military training, peacekeeping, and counter-narcotic missions worldwide. In 2013, they became the Commander, USFOR-A Liaison Officer at the US Embassy to Afghanistan, serving as a liaison between the Department of State and Department of Defense.

Ryan then joined the United States Department of Defense, first serving as the Chief of the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation at the US Embassy in Croatia from 2014 to 2016. Ryan later led the US Office of Defense Cooperation to Italy as the Chief there from 2017 to 2021.

In 2021, Ryan transitioned to the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command, where they served as the CENTCOM Director. In this role, they oversaw all foreign military sales transportation, acquisition, and implementation in the CENTCOM AOR. Ryan also contributed to the analysis of trends and the development of operational objectives to enhance US influence in the region.

From 2022 to 2023, Ryan worked as the Director of Business Development for Advanced Technology Systems Company, a systems integrator specializing in C5ISR solutions and rotary aviation services.

Most recently, in 2023, they became the Vice President International Defense at Ocean Aero Inc, further expanding their expertise in the defense industry.

Ryan Fayrweather has a diverse education background. Ryan obtained a Masters in International Security Studies from Sapienza Università di Roma in the year 2016, and completed this program in the year 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in International Relations and National Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School from 2003 to 2005. Their undergraduate studies were completed from 1990 to 1994 at Abilene Christian University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Additionally, they have obtained a TS/SCI Clearance certification from the United States Department of Defense, although no specific month or year of attainment is mentioned.
