Sara Pfeifer is a dedicated professional with a strong background in environmental policy and coastal management. Currently serving as the Manager at the Global Ghost Gear Initiative with Ocean Conservancy, Sara focuses on engaging international partners to tackle the issues of abandoned and discarded fishing gear. Previous experience includes roles as a Coastal Planner with the California Coastal Commission, where Sara ensured coastal development project compliance, and positions at the Center for the Blue Economy, where Sara contributed to ocean and coastal resource economic valuation. Sara founded the Sierra Bounty Produce Collective, promoting organic agriculture, and has coordinated environmental projects in various organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
