Sol Anglada Segura's work experience includes a position at Ocean Ecostructures as a Scientific Project Manager starting in February 2023, following an internship at the same company from November 2022 to February 2023. They also served as an Ocean Ambassador at the World Ocean Council in October 2022. Between April 2022 and June 2022, Sol worked as a Management Intern at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, where they focused on scientific collaboration for environmental impact assessment related to deep-sea mining. Prior to this, Sol worked as a Master Thesis Student at VLIZ - Vlaams Instituut voor de Zee from August 2021 to June 2022, conducting ecotoxicological research on the impact of global warming and plastic leachates on the growth of Phaeodactylum tricornutum. Sol's earliest known work experience was as an intern in charge of jellyfish and Mediterranean species exhibitions at Oceanogràfic València in July 2019, where they also managed turtle rescue facilities at ARCA.
Sol Anglada Segura completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management from Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they were an exchange student at Charles University in 2019 and 2020, studying Biology. Sol obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2016 to 2020. Sol also attended CIC escola d'idiomes in 2015 and 2016, where they obtained a Cambridge Advanced certification. Sol Anglada Segura completed their secondary education, Bachillerato científico, at IES Montserrat from 2014 to 2016.
In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. Sol completed a Marine Fauna Illustration course at Illustraciencia in October 2022. In September 2019, they obtained their Open Water Diver certification from PADI. Sol also holds a Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge Assessment English, which they obtained in July 2016. So they have a diverse educational background in environmental and marine science, as well as certifications related to their field of study.
