Erik Sauar

Erik Sauar serves as the CEO of Cenate AS since August 2017 and holds the position of Chairman & Partner at Differ Group, where seed investments and project development in Renewables and Energy Efficiency are primary focuses since January 2012. Additionally, Erik is the Chair of the Board of Directors at Miljøstiftelsen ZERO, an independent organization dedicated to combating climate change, and serves as a Board Director at Umoe Gruppen AS. As a co-owner of Ocean Sun since June 2017, Erik was the first external investor and played a significant role in its technology development. Other roles include Chairman of the Board at Radionor Communications AS, Board Member at Norges forskningsråd for energy, transport, and low emissions, and serving on the board of SUNPHASE AS since May 2019. Erik has an academic background with degrees in Non-equilibrium thermodynamics from NTNU and Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a Master in Anthropology and a Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering.
