Lasse Gustavsson

Lasse Gustavsson has had an extensive career in environmental organizations. Lasse is currently the President and CEO of Ocean Wise since February 2019. Prior to this role, they served as the Executive Director of Oceana from October 2014 to January 2019. Lasse also worked as the Executive Director of WWF International from August 2010 to August 2014. Before that, they held significant positions at Världsnaturfonden WWF / WWF Sweden, including Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer from June 2007 to August 2010, and Programme Director from August 2003 to June 2007. Lasse has also worked at Greenpeace International as the Policy & Science Director from July 2002 to August 2003, and as the Deputy Policy and Science Director from 2001 to 2002. Prior to their international roles, they served as the CEO of Ekocentrum from April 1998 to July 2001.

Lasse Gustavsson obtained a Lifelong Executive Learning diploma in Leading at the Top from IMD in 2012. Prior to that, they attended the University of Gothenburg from 1990 to 1993, where they studied International Relations, Human Ecology, and Development Science.
