Brian Schaeffer

Brian Schaeffer has a wealth of experience in the fields of information security, technology infrastructure, and risk management. Brian most recently worked at OceanFirst Bank as the Chief Information Security Officer, responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of the bank's IT systems. Prior to that, they held various roles at Sun National Bank, Financial Outsourcing Solutions, and Liberty Bell Bank, where they oversaw IT operations, implemented infrastructure upgrades, and managed risk and compliance. Brian also has experience in academia, working as an Adjunct Professor at Monmouth University and Wilmington University. Additionally, Brian has been actively involved in industry organizations such as the Infragard Members Alliance and the Philadelphia Regional Computer Intrusion Task Force. Brian is highly knowledgeable in information technology risk assessment and has a track record of implementing innovative solutions to enhance security and efficiency.

Brian Schaeffer has a Masters of Science in Information Security and Assurance from Capella University. Brian also holds a BA in Computer Science from Rutgers University - Camden. In addition to their degrees, Brian has obtained several certifications, including the Boardroom Certified Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) from Digital Directors Network in December 2022, the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) from ISACA in June 2020, the Foundations of Breach & Attack Simulation from AttackIQ in May 2020, the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in April 2009, and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in April 2003.
