Jasmine Taketa-Tran has been working in the technology industry since 2003. Jasmine began their career as an Algorithm Developer at Raytheon Technologies, where they applied their research in artificial intelligence for homeland and regional missile defense. Jasmine was also a Principal Investigator for projects in collaborative autonomy. In 2021, they joined PacMar Technologies as an Autonomous Systems Scientist, where they were a Principal Investigator for an ONR-funded project on digital twin technology development and demonstration in vessels at sea, as well as a DARPA SBIR project on advancing the science of open-world novelty and developing synthetic environments for training and testing autonomous AI agents. That same year, they also joined nanomoneo as an AI + Signal Processing Engineer. In 2022, they joined Oceanit as a Senior Software Engineer.
Jasmine Taketa-Tran completed a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2001. Jasmine then earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering - Signal and Image Processing from the same university in 2003. In 2020, they completed a Sensor Fusion Nanodegree and a Deep Learning Nanodegree from Udacity.
