Sarah Cathers is an experienced arts administrator with a robust background in operations and programming within prominent cultural institutions. Currently serving as the Director of Operations and Programs at Oceanside Museum of Art since May 2022, Sarah previously held significant roles at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, where positions included Director of Public Life and Director of Public Programs, focusing on community engagement and equitable programming. Further experience includes serving as Stage and Film Production Manager at SFMOMA and Director of Operations at SFFILM, where Sarah successfully established the organization’s first year-round operations department and managed the renowned SFFILM Festival. Educational qualifications include a BFA in Sculpture, New Media from The Ohio State University and additional studies at City College of San Francisco and Birmingham City University.
