Software Engineer II at Ocient

Richard Wendel III has held various positions in the technology industry since 2015. In 2015, they were a Summer Hire at Procter & Gamble with The INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati, where they worked on a company-wide initiative and learned JavaScript, the Google Maps v3 API, and how to use Google Apps Script. In 2016, they were a Summer IT Intern with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, where they worked in the Collaboration Services area and was tasked with three major projects. In 2017, they were a Software Engineer Intern with Ball Aerospace, where they worked on a Flight Demonstration program and integrated COTS hardware into the flight software. In 2018, they were again a Software Engineer Intern with Ball Aerospace, where they worked on a PCI card on a satellite and developed in C++ for a low-power embedded PowerPC CPU running VxWorks. In 2019, they were a Cyber Software Engineer with Northrop and a Course Assistant (CS433 Computer System Organization) with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Currently, they are a Software Engineer II with Ocient.

Richard Wendel III attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Electrical Engineering. In 2014, they attended the National High School Game Academy at Carnegie Mellon University. Additionally, they obtained a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer certification from National Instruments in April 2016.
