Mario Monsreal Vargas

Mario Monsreal Vargas has a diverse work experience, with roles in various organizations and industries. Mario started their career in 2011 as a Business Development Advisor at TÜV Rheinland AG, focusing on sales, marketing, and market research. From 2013 to 2013, they worked as an International Student Advisor at the International Office of TU Dresden, where they supported enrolled students and organized seminars.

In 2015, Mario became a Business Development Advisor at Manolya e.Kfr, responsible for acquiring new clients and suppliers in the wholesaling industry. Mario also conducted market research and optimized the brand's business opportunities. Later that year, they joined Fragomen Worldwide as an Immigration Consultant.

From 2016 to 2019, Mario worked at ProMéxico, the trade and investment delegation of the Mexican government, where they served as a Project Manager for Foreign Trade and Investment. Mario advised and supported German companies in their investment process in Mexico and handled various activities, including risk analysis, site selection, HR and tax advisory.

In 2019, Mario joined International Investment Services as a Senior Project Manager, assisting investment promotion and economic development agencies in attracting European investment.

In 2021, Mario took on multiple roles. Mario served as the Regional Manager Germany at Invest Victoria, focusing on promoting business and investment opportunities. Mario also became a Senior consultant at OCO Global, an organization specializing in foreign direct investment advisory work.

Currently, Mario holds the position of Director Germany at the Missouri Department of Economic Development. Mario is responsible for supporting Missouri businesses in exporting to global markets and helping foreign investors set up operations in the state. Mario will soon assume the role of Director Europe at the same organization.

Throughout their career, Mario has gained experience in investment attraction, economic development, business development, immigration consulting, and international student advising.

Mario Monsreal Vargas holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs, which they obtained from Technische Universität Dresden between 2012 and 2014. Prior to this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government at Technische Universität Dresden from 2006 to 2010. In 2012, Mario received a Diploma from El Colegio de México's Summer School program. Mario completed their high school studies in the field of Social Sciences at Universidad Tecnológica de México from 2001 to 2004.
