Deanna Burton Ed.d.

Deanna Burton Ed.D. serves as the School Principal at Townsend Street School-MPS since January 2022, while also holding an administrative role since August 2016 with the School District of Waukesha, where leadership in professional development, dual language programming, and student discipline practices is emphasized. Additionally, Deanna has over 15 years of experience in various educational roles, including as a District Office Project Administrator in the Oconomowoc Area School District, where initiatives focus on diversity, inclusion, and equity for students and staff. Earlier positions include building principal at Ixonia School and assistant principal at Oconomowoc High School, along with experience as an adjunct instructor at Carroll University. Deanna holds an Ed.D. in Leadership, Learning, and Service and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Cardinal Stritch University, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in education from Alverno College.
