Freddy Weng

Freddy Weng has a diverse work experience in software development, with a focus on game and app development. Freddy started their career in 2007 as an R&D Software Engineer at Foxconn, where they reviewed code, designed graphical transition effects, and developed input method engines. In 2010, Weng worked as a Programmer at Winking Entertainment, specializing in iOS and Android game programming. Freddy utilized tools such as Unity3D, C#, Corona SDK, and Lua to implement features like Bluetooth communication and in-app purchases.

In 2012, Weng joined PlayCoo Corporation as a Senior Programmer and later became Lead Programmer. Freddy was responsible for technical consulting, iOS/Android game programming, and game software architecture design. Freddy also optimized game performance and integrated various SDKs and frameworks. Weng's exceptional contributions led to their nomination as "GamaStar" of the Gamania Corporate Group in 2013.

Weng then worked briefly at Drumleaf Inc. as a Contract Programmer, involved in code design and development for various projects, including iOS game programming and game prototyping using Unity3D and C#. Freddy joined Marker Metro in 2014 as a Developer, focusing on native app and game development. After three years, they transitioned to a role as a Native App & Game Developer at Marker, where they continued their work until 2019.

Weng's most recent position is as a Full Stack Developer at Apolinar. Freddy started in 2021 and is still working at the company.

Freddy Weng completed a Master of Engineering Studies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Auckland between 2005 and 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university between 2001 and 2004. In addition to their educational qualifications, Freddy also obtained the Unity Certified Developer certification from Unity Technologies in July 2016 and the Contentful Certified Professional Exam certification from Contentful in June 2022.
