Benjamin Ou has worked in the mobile application development field since 2017. In 2017, they worked as an iOS Developer at PogoTec, where they implemented image file management using Core Data and PHAssets, as well as updating API to use background multithreading. In 2018, they worked as an iOS Developer at Moby, Inc, where they developed and maintained various iOS mobile applications natively in Swift and cross-platform with Xamarin. Benjamin also created views and added animations using UIKit, reactively interfaced with external APIs with RxSwift & RxCocoa, and increased performance of apps through debugging issues such as view retention. In 2019, they worked as a Senior Mobile Application Developer at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, where they developed iOS and Android applications to support patient care management. Benjamin also created various views and graphics to visualize lab results, used AVKit for iOS and MediaRecorder/MediaPlayer for Android to record and playback audio notes, and implemented a cache with CoreData (iOS) and Room (Android) to support new offline mode. Lastly, they are currently working as a Lead Mobile Application Developer at Octave Bioscience.
