Phil Edwards

Phil Edwards is an experienced payroll professional with extensive expertise in managing payroll functions across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Payroll at OCU since September 2023, Phil oversees a team of three and handles payroll for over 1,000 staff while implementing procedure improvements and generating finance reports. Previously, as Payroll Manager at Slater and Gordon Lawyers (UK), Phil managed payroll functions for a rapidly growing employee base, expanding from 400 to over 3,000. Phil has also held leadership roles at Halliwells LLP, CIC, and Atos, where responsibilities included managing teams, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and producing critical payroll reports. Educational achievements include training from Butterworths Tolley and The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP).
