Einar Stefansson

Einar Stefansson has a diverse work experience that spans from 1988 to present. Einar co-founded Risk ehf in 2009, where they are currently the Chairman of the Board and a co-founder of the RetinaRisk project. Einar also co-founded Oculis ehf in 2003, focusing on drug delivery to the eye. Einar served as President of EU EYE starting in 2016. Additionally, they have held the title of Professor and Chairman at the University of Iceland since 1988. Einar served as Vice Chairman of Oxymap ehf from 2002 to 2014.

Einar Stefansson completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medicine at Háskóli Íslands. Einar then pursued further education and obtained a PhD degree in Physiology and Ophthalmology from Duke University. Einar'sacademic endeavors were concentrated in the areas of physiology and medicine.
