Carlos Forero Valencia

Carlos Forero Valencia has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Carlos began their career in 1994 as a Project Manager for IBM Colombia. In 1995, they moved to Alcatel as an Account Manager, where they achieved a goal of US$1 million in sales per year. From 1998 to 2001, they worked for COLVATEL S.A. ESP, first as Operations Director and then as Commercial Director. In 2002, they were the Vice President of CAPITEL for Telecom Colombia. From 2003 to 2006, they were the Vice President of the Fixed Telephony Business Unit for Colombia Telecomunicaciones. In 2012, they became a Principal for Axon Partners Group, where they were the COO of Amerigo Ventures Colombia and a member of the investment committee. From 2014 to 2017, they were the CEO of O4IT, where they led the consolidation and regional expansion of the company, took it to the next level, made it profitable, and leveraged the right corporate finance structure. Since 2017, they have been the Director of ODATA.

Carlos Forero Valencia began their educational journey in 1988 when they earned a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with a major in Telecommunications from Universidad del Cauca. Carlos then went on to earn a Finance Specialist degree from Universidad de Los Andes in 1996-1997. In 2001-2002, they completed a Master in Business Administration from Georgetown University. Most recently, in 2011, they earned a Sloan Fellow Master in Leadership and Strategy from London Business School.
