Nathan Birkes

Nathan Birkes has extensive work experience in the software engineering and development field. Nathan currently works at ODH, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer. In their previous role as a Senior Software Developer at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, they played a key role in rewriting existing backend integration, rebuilding medical document templates, and developing user-friendly apps using React and ExpressJS. Nathan also served as a DevOps Engineer, designing an ETL system and developing a mock EMR application. Prior to that, they worked at Late Model Restoration as a Senior Developer/IT Manager, leading a team to enhance an e-commerce solution and handling various responsibilities such as configuring web applications, managing servers, and designing databases. Nathan also worked as a Developer, building a custom shopping cart and data connector for ERP integration. Additionally, they served as a Webmaster and Web Marketing Assistant, utilizing various tools and software to increase sales and improve web navigation.

Nathan Birkes started their education in the year 2000 and completed it in 2003 at McLennan Community College. During this time, they obtained a Certificate of Computer Information Systems/Web Design. Nathan'sfield of study focused on Web Page, Digital/Multimedia, and Information Resources Design.

In 2022, Nathan Birkes returned to McLennan Community College to pursue an Associate of Science (AS) degree. Nathan'scurrent degree program is in Computer Science, and they are expected to complete it in the future.

In addition to their academic achievements, Nathan Birkes has obtained several certifications. In December 2017, they became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate through Amazon Web Services. Nathan further enhanced their knowledge and skills by obtaining the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification in March 2018 and again in February 2023 from the same institution, Amazon Web Services.
