Chris Foster

Trajectory Design Lead and Astrodynamics Analyst at Odyssey Space Research

Chris Foster has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Chris started their career as an Intern/Test Engineer at Jacobs in 2002, where they conducted aero-acoustic and aerodynamic tests for automakers. Chris also addressed internal quality and safety issues within the test facility, resulting in facility modifications and procedural changes. In 2004, they joined Boeing as a Mission Designer, where they designed rendezvous trajectories for autonomous missions and performed mission analysis using simulation and visualization tools. In 2005, they moved to Jacobs Engineering as a Rendezvous Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer. Chris served as the technical lead for a Windows application used for relative navigation during rendezvous and docking for the Space Shuttle. Chris also developed simulations for 6-DOF analysis and avionics testing. In 2015, Chris joined Intuitive Machines as a Senior Development Engineer, and in 2016, they became the Trajectory Design Lead and Astrodynamics Analyst at Odyssey Space Research, LLC.

Chris Foster completed their Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at The Ohio State University from 2000 to 2004. Chris then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in the same field from the University of Colorado Boulder between 2009 and 2012.
