Omololu Makinde

Omololu Makinde (PhD) is an accomplished Senior AI Solutions Engineer at Ofcom, leading the development and maintenance of custom AI platforms and NLP applications utilizing LLMs and generative AI models since March 2023. Previously, as Manager of AI & Data Science at PwC, Omololu directed AI and ML projects for FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 clients. Experience includes serving as Principal NLP Machine Learning Engineer at Integrum ESG, contributing to an award-winning AI project, and similar roles at R.grid focused on deploying ML and NLP techniques for medical research. Academic contributions include a position as Teaching Assistant at the University of Bradford and research as an Artificial Intelligence Research Associate, where Omololu optimized machine learning and deep learning models. Omololu holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bradford, complemented by a Master's degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Lagos State University.
