Jessica Traynor

Banagher Public Art Commission at Offaly County Council

Jessica Traynor is an accomplished poet and educator with extensive experience in the literary arts. Currently serving as Poet in Residence at Yeats Society Sligo and holding the Banagher Public Art Commission with Offaly County Council, Jessica actively engages with communities through workshops and public readings. With a background as a Creative Writing Teacher at Big Smoke Writing Factory and various residencies including at dlr LexIcon and Carlow College, Jessica has cultivated a diverse teaching portfolio. Previous roles include Deputy Museum Director at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and Literary Manager at The Abbey Theatre, where engagement with playwrights and script development were key responsibilities. Jessica holds a BA in English Literature with History from Trinity College Dublin, an MA in Creative Writing from University College Dublin, and a Certificate in Teaching Creativity from Dublin City University.
