Melba Melton

Melba Melton is a highly experienced attorney specializing in government ethics and compliance, currently serving as Assistant Counsel in the Ethics Law & Policy Branch at the Office of Government Ethics since July 2022. Prior to this role, Melba worked as an Attorney at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from August 2019 to July 2022, focusing on government ethics and compliance. Melba's legal background includes serving as an Attorney for the US Army Environmental Command, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and advising on federal and state environmental laws. Melba began a legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Lyonel Norris at the 4th Judicial District Court, handling hearings and drafting orders in juvenile court matters.
