Eleanor Wood has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries.
Eleanor is currently working at Ofgem as the Deputy Director for Market Design, a role they started in April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Deputy Director, Strategy & Decarbonisation from November 2020 to April 2022, and was the Head of Electricity Network Charging from January 2020 to November 2020.

Eleanor pursued their Master of Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government from August 2012 to June 2014. During this time, they also worked as a Summer Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in June to August 2013.
Eleanor'searlier work experience includes a role as a Planning Engineer at the Australian Energy Market Operator from January 2011 to August 2012. Eleanor also worked as a Student Ambassador and Tutor at the University of New South Wales from February 2009 to December 2010, and as a Member Engagement Coordinator at GetUp from April 2009 to July 2010.
Eleanor Wood pursued their education in a disciplined and diverse manner. Eleanor started their academic journey in 2006 at UNSW, where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Arts degree in Renewable Energy Engineering. In 2008, they briefly participated in an exchange program at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on Energy and Resources Group.
Seeking further professional development, Eleanor enrolled at the Harvard Kennedy School in 2012. Over the course of two years, they concentrated on Business and Government, culminating in the completion of a Master of Public Policy degree in 2014.
