Michael Walls

Michael Walls has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Michael started their career at Ofgem in 2008 as a Senior Analyst in Electricity Distribution. Michael then moved to ElectraLink in 2011, where they worked as a Senior Governance Services Analyst for four years. In 2015, they joined ESP Electricity Limited as an Industry and Compliance Manager. Michael returned to Ofgem in 2017 and held the position of Senior Policy Manager for Smart Meters before being promoted to Head of Retail Market Operations in March 2022.

Michael Walls earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Miami Herbert Business School between 1994 and 1999. Michael then pursued a BS degree in Business and Finance from the same institution, completing it from 1995 to 1999. Later, Michael furthered their education at the University of Westminster, where they earned an MSc degree in International Finance from 2003 to 2005.
