Sarah-Jane Marsden

Sarah-Jane Marsden is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy and policy management. Currently serving as a Senior Strategy Manager at Ofgem since March 2024, Marsden focuses on the electrification of heat and transport. Previously, as Policy Manager at Historic Environment Scotland from April 2018 to March 2024, Marsden conducted external policy analysis with an international emphasis, overseeing strategy development and implementation. Marsden also held the role of Business Support Manager in Conservation - Estates at Historic Environment Scotland from 2015 to 2018, where compliance reporting and internal policy development were key responsibilities. Earlier career highlights include contributing to the opening of three new Whole Foods Market stores in the UK and various remodels between 2012 and 2014, and serving as an Estates Assistant at the Science Museum from 2011 to 2012. Marsden holds a Master of Science in International Public Policy from UCL and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Sussex.
