Halil Cicibaş has a diverse work experience in various positions. Halil started their career as a Research Assistant at the Turkish Naval Academy, where they conducted research on modeling and simulation of UAV path plans. Halil also published their studies in two SCI-indexed journals and presented them in conferences.
After that, Halil worked at the Turkish Naval Command, where they held multiple roles. Halil started as an Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer, where they administered various services and systems from different vendors and participated in infrastructure modernization projects. Later, they became an IT Project Manager and IT Infrastructure Team Leader, leading cross-functional teams and managing modernization and digital transformation projects. Halil also administered numerous servers and storage systems with high reliability.
More recently, Halil worked at Ofix.com as the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for leading the technology department. Halil also had a previous stint as a Chief Technology Officer at Hipposoft. Additionally, at Ofix.com, they held the role of Lead Business Analyst and Product Manager, where they conducted research activities, transformed user needs into technical requirements, and supported requirements with user flows and wireframes.

Halil Cicibaş is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Information Systems at the Middle East Technical University.
