Jer Bates

Jer Bates currently serves as the Director of Communications for Ogden School District since October 2016. Prior to this role, Jer worked as a Field Sales Trainer for Simply Mac, where training new employees and supporting existing locations was a primary focus. Jer also has experience in broadcast journalism as a Reporter/Anchor at KSTU Fox 13 TV, where responsibilities included shooting news segments, conducting interviews, and producing sportscasts. Earlier in Jer’s career, work as a Specialist at Apple involved assisting customers with product needs, and as a Producer at KSL TV, Jer organized sports department logistics and trained staff. Jer holds an Associate of Science degree in Audiovisual Communications Technologies from Dixie State University, where studies occurred between 1996 and 1998.
