Bent Ziegler

Bent Ziegler is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as the Lead Systems Engineer for Sentinel-2 Next Generation at OHB SE, a position held since October 2003. Ziegler oversees systems engineering for Europe's Earth Observation Copernicus Programme and has also led the satellite systems engineering efforts for the Heinrich Hertz Satellite, managing coordination and development teams. As Team Leader of Satellite Systems Engineering, responsibilities include enhancing communication across projects and overseeing team management and training. Previous roles at OHB include chemical propulsion system engineering and project engineering for satellite pre-development. Ziegler's early career includes research at the Technical University of Denmark and an internship at the European Space Agency. Ziegler holds an MSS in Space Studies from the International Space University and an MSc in Control Systems Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.
