Mike Duffey

Mike Duffey serves as the Chancellor of the Ohio Department of Higher Education, a position held since January 2019 following a tenure as Senior Vice Chancellor. Prior to this role, Mike Duffey was the Deputy Director of InnovateOhio, focusing on utilizing technology to enhance government services. Experience in legislative roles includes serving as Chairman of the Higher Education and Workforce Committee in the Ohio House of Representatives, where significant legislation was sponsored, and as a State Representative for the 21st District. Additionally, Mike Duffey has owned and operated Blackdog Public Relations LLC, providing strategic communication expertise, and has held various public relations positions. Educational credentials include a Master’s of Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
