Kelly East

Kelly East joined DYS as Deputy Director of Human Resources in November 2021 following 22 years in state government, all with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

As HR Deputy Director, Kelly works with our executive team to create a workplace environment that inspires the best from its workforce. A critical role includes making DYS a “destination employer” for working Ohioans and talent that reflect the diversity of our state.

In her daily duties, Kelly manages all personnel matters, including labor relations, payroll, benefits, workforce management, performance engagement, and employee health and wellness. She is responsible for providing DYS the necessary staffing to support our mission and the citizens of Ohio.

Kelly attended Ohio University and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources and a Society of Human Resources Management Certified Senior Professional.
