Betsy Hedler began their work experience in 1996 as an Assistant Archivist at the Maine Folklife Center at the University of Maine. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Publications Specialist and Archivist at the Canadian-American Center at the University of Maine. In 2004, they joined the Ohio Historical Society and held various roles, such as Project Curator and Project Coordinator. Most recently, they served as the Team Lead for AmeriCorps and Partnerships at the Ohio History Connection, successfully administering programs and securing grants.
Betsy Hedler holds a Bachelor of Arts in North American Studies from McGill University (1990-1994), a Master of Arts in Canadian History from the University of Maine (1994-1996), and a Ph.D. in Canadian-American History from the University of Maine (1996-2003). Betsy also participated in the Institute for Cultural Entrepreneurship for Museum Leaders in 2014.
