Mike Abrams has had an extensive career in healthcare and government. Mike started their career as a Caucus Assistant in the Indiana House of Representatives in 1984. Mike then moved on to the Indiana State Medical Association, where they began as a lobbyist and eventually became the Director of Government Relations, with added responsibilities in membership marketing. In 1996, they joined the Iowa Medical Society as EVP/CEO, where they managed the organization's budget and pursued its core purpose of ensuring high-quality healthcare in Iowa. Since 2012, they have been the President and CEO of The Ohio Hospital Association, leading a team of 65 associates, supporting a Board of Trustees, and collaborating with member hospitals and health systems to advocate for patient safety, quality, and economic sustainability.
Mike Abrams completed their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at Indiana University Bloomington in 1984. Mike then pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration at the same institution and completed it in 1992.
