Bilyana De George has diverse work experience spanning over several decades in the logistics and freight industry. Bilyana currently holds the position of VP Global Head of Ocean freight at OIA GLOBAL, since June 2023. Prior to this, they were the Sr Director Global Head of Ocean freight at the same company from February 2022 to June 2023. Before joining OIA GLOBAL, Bilyana worked at DB Schenker as the Area Ocean Director - USA East from August 2018 to January 2021. Bilyana'searlier experience includes roles at Panalpina, where they served as the Country LCL Ocean Service Center Manager - USA from June 2015 to August 2018 and the District Head of Ocean Freight - US West District from December 2013 to May 2015. Bilyana also held the position of BU Ocean Export Manager and Sales Administration at Panalpina from October 2011 to November 2013 and from June 2010 to September 2011 respectively. Furthermore, Bilyana served as the Ocean Export Department Supervisor, Project Coordinator & Team Leader at the company from November 2008 to May 2010 and from April 2007 to October 2008 respectively. Bilyana'searlier career includes roles as Branch Manager at TRANSMAKERS Ltd from October 2003 to June 2004, as well as Branch Manager at INTERMODAL Ltd from November 1997 to September 2003. Bilyana's journey in the logistics industry began at Unimasters Logistics Ltd, where they worked as a Line Manager from March 1993 to October 1997.

Bilyana De George's education history begins in 1982 when they attended the French Language School "Frederic Joliot-Curie" and obtained their High School Diploma. During this time, they studied French, Russian, Math, and Science. After completing high school in 1986, they enrolled at the Institute of Food and Tobacco Technologies and completed their MSc in Food Technology from 1987 to 1993. Later, in 2004, Bilyana pursued further education at Erasmus University Rotterdam, specializing in Maritime Economics and Logistics, and obtained their MSc in 2005.
