Jessica Bodmann

Jessica Bodmann has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jessica is currently working as the Head of Office at Oikocredit, a role they have held since December 2021. Prior to this, they were the Change Lead German Retail Market at Oikocredit Nederland starting from August 2020.

Before joining Oikocredit, Jessica worked at Finance in Motion where they held various roles. From January 2020 to August 2020, they served as the Mandate Manager for the eco.business Development Facility Sub-Saharan Africa, where they led the strategic expansion and set-up of the Technical Assistance Facility in the region.

Prior to that, they were the Senior Officer for the SANAD Technical Assistance Facility in the Middle East and North Africa, where they designed and implemented a female empowerment program and managed a project portfolio across the region. Jessica also worked as an Associate in the same facility, building a multi-million project portfolio within a year to support over 800 entrepreneurs.

Before their tenure at Finance in Motion, Jessica took a sabbatical and worked as a self-employed professional from March 2016 to July 2017.

Jessica also has experience working with organizations like the Bertelsmann Foundation, Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Daily Star, Bergstraesser Institute for Cultural Studies, and the German Orient Institute Beirut, where they held a range of intern and consultant positions.

Jessica Bodmann obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Islamic Studies, and Economic Policy from the University of Freiburg in 2010. Jessica then pursued a Master of Arts degree in the same field at the same university, completing it in 2010. In 2006, Jessica participated in an academic exchange program at the University of Damascus, where they further studied Political Science, Islamic Studies, and Economic Policy. Jessica obtained a Certified Expert in Microfinance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in 2013. Additionally, they obtained an Inbound Certification from HubSpot Academy in May 2017.
