J.T. Harrison, CPIM, CSCP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of logistics and procurement.
J.T. began their career in 2001 as an Inventory Control Manager at The Center for Effective Performance, Inc., where they managed inventory distribution for four facilities in the US and Canada.
In 2003, Harrison joined Columbian Chemicals Company as an Inventory Control Planner/Senior Logistics Analyst. Here, they managed distributed inventories valued at $4MM across six 3PL warehousing sites and scheduled production segments for multiple facilities.
In 2008, Harrison joined Oil-Dri Corporation of America as a Senior Procurement Manager. J.T. was responsible for managing a $18MM spend in raw materials, chemical additives, packaging, and energy. J.T. led strategic sourcing initiatives and implemented a custom-built Procurement program.
Harrison quickly progressed within Oil-Dri Corporation, taking on roles such as Director of Procurement and Director of Logistics. In these positions, they managed budgets, developed risk models, made transportation sourcing decisions, and actively managed the supplier base.
From 2016 to 2022, Harrison served as the Vice President of Logistics for Oil-Dri Corporation. In this role, they were responsible for the global logistics network, overseeing a $50MM annual logistics spend. Their responsibilities included managing rail fleets, truckload/intermodal shipments, and third-party distribution centers.
In their most recent role as the Vice President of Logistics & Procurement at Oil-Dri Corporation, Harrison leads the Global Logistics and Procurement Team. J.T. is responsible for delivering a $50MM+ transportation budget and a $100MM+ procurement budget. Their duties include negotiating contracts, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing forward buy strategies.
Throughout their career, Harrison has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills and a focus on contributing to overall company successes in the areas of customers, cost, cash, and capability.
J.T. Harrison, CPIM, CSCP completed their education at Emory University - Goizueta Business School, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Business Administration. This educational journey took place from 1997 to 2001. Additionally, they have achieved several certifications throughout their career, including becoming a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) through APICS in March 2008, a Six Sigma Green Belt through Columbian Chemicals Company in July 2007, and being Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) through APICS in May 2007.
