Jesse Pile

Jesse Pile is the Deputy General Manager for Community & Sustainability at Ok Tedi Mining Limited, a position held since January 2003, where key responsibilities include ensuring legal compliance for environmental monitoring, advancing scientific understanding of mining impacts, managing industrial waste, developing an Environmental Management System aligned with ISO14001 standards, and overseeing budget management up to US$5 million. Jesse also serves on various committees, including the OTML Safety Health and Environment Steering Committee and the Major Incident Management Team. Prior experience includes roles as Superintendent of Riverine Management and Contract Geologist at Misima Mines Limited and BHP Exploration, respectively, focusing on geological mapping and project management. Jesse holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Geology and Geochemistry from the University of Papua New Guinea.
