Laura Azevedo, M.Sc., PMP, is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in oceanography and business management. Currently serving as the Director of the International Marine Minerals Society since January 2020, Laura oversees all administrative and financial operations, including member communications. With additional roles as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of South Florida and Managing Co-Founder of Atmosmarine, Laura demonstrates expertise in both academic and entrepreneurial settings. Furthermore, Laura founded Okeanus, an environmental equipment company in Brazil, and held various positions in business development and consultancy, showcasing a diverse skill set in technical sales, project management, and strategic planning.
