Karla Evans, RN, BSN, OCN, has an extensive background in nursing and clinical informatics, primarily at Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute since May 2011. As a Clinical Informatics Specialist, Karla manages electronic medical records to ensure compliance and is responsible for data collection and reporting to meet CMS meaningful use requirements. Additionally, Karla served as a Clinic Nurse Manager, overseeing staffing, conflict resolution, payroll, and compliance with the nursing practice act, while also updating policy and procedure manuals. Prior experience includes a similar role at Arlington Cancer Center from January 1991 to December 2009. Karla holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Nursing from the Community College of Allegheny County.
