Simran Brar

Simran Brar is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in infrastructure and software development. Currently serving as SVP of Engineering at Okta since January 2017, Simran oversees critical areas including Core foundational/platform services, Resiliency & Performance Engineering, Infrastructure Security, and TechOps. Previous roles at Empowr and Picarro, Inc. involved senior engineering leadership and board membership, focusing on innovative IoT solutions and software R&D. Earlier positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, ArcSight, and MKS Instruments encompassed a range of software development and management responsibilities, particularly in security data platforms and advanced process control software. Simran holds advanced degrees from Santa Clara University and UC Berkeley, along with a Bachelor of Technology from Punjab Engineering College.
