Lakshay Mehra is a Senior Data Scientist at Umajin, leading research and development in Time Series Pattern Matching and Eye Tracking models for AI-powered concussion detection. Previous experience includes roles as a Data Scientist at UnitedHealth Group, earning recognition for contributions to virtual care projects, and as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Expand AI, where Lakshay managed AI R&D in sports video analysis. With expertise in computer vision and machine learning, Lakshay has developed systems for high-profile clients like BMW and PwC. In addition to a successful data science career, Lakshay actively participates in cricket, representing Old Boys Collegians Cricket Club in New Zealand and contributing to significant tournament victories. Lakshay holds a Master’s degree in Applied Data Science from the University of Canterbury and a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics from Delhi University.
