Liza Talusan

Board Member at Old Colony YMCA

Liza Talusan, PhD, is a faculty lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where research focuses on the socialization of doctoral students, Asian American identity in education, financial aid policies impacting low-income students and students of color, and the experiences of academic mothers. Liza serves as a board member for multiple organizations, including Old Colony YMCA and FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered, while also acting as a senior consultant for Point Made Learning and a strategic partner for LT Coaching and Consulting. Previous roles include Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at The Park School in Brookline, MA, and Director for Intercultural Affairs at Stonehill College, where initiatives promoted diversity and inclusion. Liza holds a PhD in higher education and leadership from UMass Boston and has extensive experience in leadership training and equity workshops across numerous institutions and organizations.
