Sergio Galvis has a diverse work experience spanning from 2018 to the present. Sergio began their career as a Student Researcher at Universidad EAFIT, where they worked on the MIT GeneSys project, collaborating with manufacturing companies to analyze and optimize their production processes.

In 2020, Sergio worked as a Production Planner at Kendal Floral Supply, Inc. Sergio was responsible for creating schedules and prioritizing production tasks, and they also developed tools using VisualBasic and Excel to streamline the production planning process.

From 2020 to 2021, Sergio worked as a Planning Assistant at Grupo Uribe. In this role, they analyzed and planned the picking clothes process, utilizing PowerBI to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement. Sergio also reorganized product distribution within the Distribution Center to accommodate strong sales weeks.

Starting in 2021, Sergio became a Data Analyst at Florexpo LLC, one of the leading importers and distributors of fresh-cut flowers in the West Coast. Sergio utilized Python and SQL to clean and structure sales data, and they generated dashboards using PowerBI and Excel to track and analyze daily data.

Most recently, Sergio joined olive.com in 2023 as a Data Analyst. Sergio is currently responsible for managing QA analysis using SQL and DOMO to ensure quality standards are met and key processes can progress to subsequent phases.

Sergio Galvis attended Universidad EAFIT from 2016 to 2021, where they obtained a degree in Production Engineering with a specialization in Operations and Logistics Management. In addition to their degree, Sergio has also obtained several certifications. In July 2019, they received The Undergraduate Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from LOGYCA. In August 2020, they completed the course "SQL for Data Science" provided by edX. In June 2022, Sergio obtained a certification in Data Analytics from Coderhouse. Sergio further enhanced their skills by completing the course "Supervised Machine Learning: Regression and Classification" offered by Coursera in August 2022. In September 2022, they earned a certification in "Advanced Learning Algorithms" from Coursera. Finally, in January 2023, Sergio Galvis completed the Data Science program and obtained the "Data Science" and "Data Scientist Career" certifications from Coderhouse.
