Birgit Pfaffinger

Birgit Pfaffinger has extensive work experience as a translator, transcreator, editor, and copywriter. Birgit has worked at OLIVER Agency since 2022 as a Transcreator and Account Lead Editor. From 2006 onwards, they worked for bp-translations, translating and localizing texts from English to German in various fields, including IT, video/online gaming, marketing, and travel and tourism. Birgit also worked as a freelance translator for FL First Living GmbH, btb Verlag/Random House GmbH, Rowohlt Verlag GmbH, Carlsen Verlag GmbH, Hogarth Worldwide, S. Fischer Verlag, and Klett-Cotta Verlag, where they gained experience in translating and copy editing. In 2016, they worked as a freelance copy editor at Scholz & Friends. Birgit Pfaffinger completed a Bachelor's degree in Translation Studies from Fremdspracheninstitut München from 2000 to 2003. In December 2003, they obtained a certification as a State-approved Translator from the Government of Bavaria.
