David Soerensen

David Soerensen has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. David currently works as a Software Engineer at Ollie, where they focus on developing and maintaining their React/Next.js application for e-commerce and onboarding. Prior to Ollie, David worked at Ovis Technologies as a Senior Full Stack Engineer, building a custom dashboard for financial advisors using React with Redux and TypeScript. David also implemented a serverless architecture using AWS Lambda for CI/CD and QC and created a scalable back end. David also has experience as a Software Engineer at Nautilus, where they worked on a Docker-compose charting application using React with Hooks and integrated Docker CLI for local deployment. David has also contributed to open-source projects such as Jobify, 800 Hex, and Digital Travel, where they utilized technologies like React Router, Redux, and OAuth 2.0. Before their software engineering roles, David worked as a Senior Project Engineer at ProFlow Inc, managing engineering projects and developing internal Python tools for data handling. David also worked as a Design Engineer at Macton Corporation, conducting stress simulations and improving machinery designs, and as a Project Engineer at Jensen Fabricating Engineers, Inc., designing industrial cleaning systems and equipment.

David Soerensen attended the University of Connecticut from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering. David'sfield of study was Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their degree, David obtained a certification as a Triplebyte Certified professional from Triplebyte in January 2023.
