Nicole Sumner

Nicole Sumner has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Nicole is currently working at Ollie as a Brand Director, starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Backcountry.com as a Senior Brand Manager from May 2022 to May 2023. At Backcountry.com, they also held roles such as Sr. Manager of Integrated Marketing from July 2020 to May 2022, Brand Manager from February 2019 to July 2020, and Sr. Social Media Manager from April 2016 to February 2019.

Before Backcountry.com, Nicole worked at Swirl as an Account Supervisor from February 2016 to April 2016 and as a Social Media Strategist from October 2014 to February 2016. At Swirl, they collaborated with creative and account management teams to develop social media programs and promotions. Nicole also analyzed social data and identified new opportunities for client engagement.

Nicole's earlier experiences include working as a Marketing Communications Specialist at Greater Phoenix Chamber from May 2012 to August 2014, Self Employed Marketing Consultant from December 2011 to May 2012, Marketing and Communications Manager at Wasatch Powderbird Guides from November 2010 to November 2011, and Account Manager at Rutledge Consulting Group from May 2008 to May 2010.

Nicole started their career as a Ski Instructor at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort from October 2007 to April 2008, providing ski lessons to young students. Prior to that, they had internships at Mandate Pictures as a Marketing/Publicity Intern from May 2006 to September 2006, and at Communicore as a Post Production Assistant from May 2005 to August 2005, where they gained experience in marketing, public relations, and general office support.

Nicole Sumner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and a minor in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California. Nicole attended the university from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, in 2006, they studied Marketing and Business at the Melbourne Business School for a short period of time but did not receive a degree from the institution.
