Wesley is a member of the firm's Banking, Business and Public Finance, and Transactions Client Service Groups. For more than 20 years, he has concentrated his practice in the areas of general business matters, with particular emphasis on the representation of closely held and emerging growth businesses and the fiduciary responsibilities of their officers and board of directors. His practice includes planning for the structure and the formation of new business entities for corporations, partnerships, and LLCs. Wesley has served as lead counsel to the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission for more than 15 years. As a result, he has participated in the implementation of more than 100 economic development projects throughout Kansas City, valued at approximately $6 billion.
Wesley has a bachelor's degree in political science and African American studies from Yale University and a Juris doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Wesley joined the Olsson Board of Directors in an advisory role in 2020 and was voted in as a board member in 2021.
