Nicolas Van Der Velden has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2014. Nicolas started with a part-time role as a gestionnaire d'énergie at LAITERIE LES FAYES, and then completed a stage as a chargé de projet économie et management de l'énergie. In 2016, they held an internship as a chargé de missions développement & logistique at SOCIETE LAITIERE DES VOLCANS D'AUVERGNE, followed by two internships at Mars in the Global Food Engineering team and continuous improvement. In 2018, they began a role as Project Manager at Terra Lacta, and in 2020 they moved to Business France as a Trade adviser agribusiness - Chargé de développement export. Most recently, in 2021, Nicolas Van Der Velden has been appointed as Director of Olvea Kenya (EPZ) Ltd.

Nicolas Van Der Velden obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Agro-industrie / affaires agricoles from ESA, L'Ecole supérieure des agricultures between 2012 and 2017. In 2016, they completed a Domaine d'approfondissement in management de la production agro-industrielle at ISA Lille. In 2015, they spent a semester abroad at the University of Maryland, studying Agricultural and natural resources economics.
