Iván Arenas

Iván Arenas has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Iván began their career as a Network Manager at TELMEX before moving on to SATup, where they served as a Technology Manager, Teleport Director, and Program Manager. At SATup, they managed live sports broadcasting operations and implemented alternate teleports in Latin America.

Iván then worked at Motorola Mobility, where they held the positions of Regional Program Manager and Process Improvement Specialist - Program Manager. In these roles, they successfully introduced new mobile devices to the Latin American market and managed the product lifecycle according to Motorola's Six Sigma Process. Iván also led various projects, including the implementation of factory tools and software transfer processes.

After their time at Motorola, Iván joined Motorola Solutions as the Latin America Channel Programs Program Manager. Iván focused on deploying the PartnerEmpower Program in the region and presented the program to partners across Latin America.

Most recently, they joined Olympusat and Olympusat Telecom. At Olympusat Telecom, they served as the Head of Solutions Engineering, where they designed and presented customized OTT/ OVP/ IP solutions to clients in the US and Latin America. Iván also managed clients and vendors and negotiated service agreements.

Currently, Iván holds a position as the Senior Director of Product Management and OTT Operations at Olympusat. In this role, they oversee product and platform management for OTT services and implements new features and streams.

Iván Arenas has an extensive education history in the fields of technology management, electrical and electronics engineering, project management, and business administration.

Iván obtained a Specialist degree in Technology Management from Universidad EAN in 2005-2006. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, completing it in 1996-2004. In 2006, they also attended a UCLA Extension Course focused on Satellite Communications Networks and Applications.

Continuing their education, Iván earned a certificate in Managing Projects/Project Management Applications from The George Washington University School of Business in 2007.
