Brodie Swartz

Brodie Swartz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Brodie is currently a Board Member at Food Banks Mississauga, starting in September 2023. Prior to this, they held various positions at OMERS, including Senior Vice President, Legal & Corporate Secretary from January 2021, Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary at OMERS Administration Corporation from July 2020 to January 2021, and Vice President, Legal at OMERS Growth Equity from August 2018 to July 2020. Brodie also served as Director, Legal at OMERS Infrastructure from January 2017 to August 2018. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Board Director at Airports Worldwide, Inc. from November 2014 to August 2018. Prior to joining OMERS, they worked at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP as a Senior Associate from January 2007 to October 2011, Clifford Chance LLP as a Senior Associate from August 2005 to January 2007, and McCarthy Tétrault as an Associate from May 2002 to August 2005.

Brodie Swartz completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Geography at Western University from 1994 to 1998. Later, from 1999 to 2002, they pursued their LL.B. degree in Law at The University of British Columbia. In 2013 and 2015, Brodie attended the Ivey Business School at Western University, where they completed the Investing in Leaders Program I & II, focusing on Organizational Leadership. In 2016 and 2017, they pursued further education at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, obtaining the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designation through the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program in March 2017. Lastly, as of 2023, Brodie plans to attend Competent Boards to obtain their GCB.D, although the field of study for this degree is not specified.
