Max Schneider

Max Schneider is an accomplished analytics professional with extensive experience in high-energy-density plasma experiments and plasma diagnostics. Currently serving as Associate Director of Analytics at OneMain Financial since January 2021, Max has progressed through roles including Analytics Manager and Lead Quantitative Analyst. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Johns Hopkins University, where Max developed a monochromatic variant of the Talbot-Lau X-ray deflectometry diagnostic and conducted laboratory experiments for the OMEGA-EP laser facility. Earlier work as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech involved designing plasma jet sources and developing diagnostic tools, along with mentoring undergraduate students. Max's background also includes mechanical engineering work at Bose Corporation and undergraduate research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Max holds a PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
